Keto Butter Coffee

Keto butter coffee makes a fast and easy breakfast meal replacement

Keto Butter Coffee:

Keto butter coffee makes a fast and easy meal replacement. Let me say that again…. it’s a meal replacement.

All too often I see people complain that their weight loss has stopped or they have regained weight. A quick look at their daily menu shows that they have been indulging in several cups of keto butter coffee, also called Bulletproof coffee by many.

They are under the mistaken impression that they NEED all the extra fat in their diet because, hey, they are on the keto diet.

Taking in hundreds of extra calories through your drinks, as well as eating a regular meal, only leads to eating too many calories each day.

No matter what you’ve heard or read on the internet, in the end, you can consume too many calories even on a keto diet. Butter coffee is one of the ways that it happens. Keep this in mind when consuming it.

Use it as a quick meal replacement to provide you with some of the fats you need for energy when you are short on time and not able to eat a meal.

It tastes delicious and provides you with the energy you need to make it through the morning. Each cup has only 0.5 grams of carbs. Try a cup of keto butter coffee with a delicious keto muffin. Great way to start the day and it all comes in at around 5 net grams of carbs.

Ham, Egg and Cheese Roll Ups

Ham, Egg and Cheese Rollups:

These rollups are so easy to make.

  • Whip up a batch of eggs.
  • Top slices of ham with the mixture.
  • Add some cheese and roll it up.

Turn this into a quick grab and go breakfast by portioning out your rollups into a food storage container.

Want to eat it hot on the go? Then toss your container into the microwave for 30 to 45 seconds, or just long enough to heat them through and get the cheese all melty, and you are good to go!

If you use a slice of cheese for each rollup then they will have about 0.5 grams of carbs for each roll up.

Vanilla Egg Custard

Baked Egg Custard

Egg Custard:

Egg custard isn’t just for dessert. It makes a fast and delicious breakfast in the morning.

Eat it cold right from the refrigerator. This will taste like you’re cheating but you’re not!

Why not try some of these other egg custard recipes including chocolate, coffee, pumpkin, lemon blueberry and more.

The average custard has about 3 net grams of carbs depending upon the liquid used.

On The Go Egg Wrap

On The Go Keto Egg Wrap

On The Go Egg Wrap:

  • Use a lettuce leaf to create a keto on the go breakfast wrap. This one was made with romaine lettuce and has bacon, cheese and an egg.
  • Mix it up and create different wraps using items you have on hand.
  • Wrap your egg wraps in foil and keep in the refrigerator. It’s a quick way to meal prep your breakfast each morning.

If you want to heat it up take it out of the foil, place on a paper towel and microwave until the cheese is melted. Then wrap it foil again for the road.

You can use romaine or ice berg lettuce if you prefer more crunch. Opt for leaves of Boston lettuce if you are looking for a softer lettuce leaf for your wraps.

Depending upon the type of cheese used, as well as the amounts, a egg wrap as shown above will have about 1 gram of carb per wrap.

Blueberry Cinnamon Chaffles

Blueberry Cinnamon Chaffles:

Cheese + Waffles = Chaffles

Yes it sounds pretty weird but this combination of neutral tasting mozzarella cheese, egg and almond flour tastes surprisingly good. They make a great low carb replacement for traditional waffles. The addition of some blueberries adds a touch of sweetness to the chaffles.

Chaffles can easily be made ahead of time. I reheat them by putting them in the toaster, like you would a slice of bread, and warming them back up.

Sausage Breakfast Sandwich

Sausage Breakfast Sandwich:

Use store bought sausage patties or try making your own homemade maple keto sausage version.

These breakfast sandwiches can easily be made ahead of time and warmed up in the microwave. You can even make a big batch, wrap and freeze them for use down the road. Then just take one out the night before to begin thawing and warm it up when you are ready to eat them.

Everything Keto Bagels:

Eggs, cheese and almond flour give these keto bagels an enjoyable texture and a sturdy enough structure to split and toast them. While this recipe takes a little extra prep work you will have plenty of bagels to last you for the week!

Overnight Chia NOatmeal (aka Chia Pudding)

Chia pudding can be topped with low carb fruit and nuts

Overnight Chia NOatmeal:

Mix some chia seeds with your favorite milk replacement (almond milk, coconut milk, soy milk, etc) and let it sit overnight for a low carb version of oatmeal.

Make it keto by adding some healthy fats in such as your favorite nuts, seeds, diced up keto fat bombs or your favorite keto granola. They add a great taste and a bit of crunch to the mixture. Talk about fast and easy!

This makes for a great lazy keto breakfast and, in the recipe shown above, it comes in at under 2 grams of carbs even when topped with nuts. Mix and portion out the NOatmeal/pudding in take away containers and you can meal prep breakfast for the next few days.

Try some of these recipes. Your stomach will thank you for it!
