My favorite way to make them is to stuff the Italian sausages with cheese! It’s so easy to do when you use mozzarella cheese sticks. I like to use sweet sausage as well as spicy Italian sausage. For peppers I often use a bag of frozen pepper and onion mix. It saves me time as I don’t have to do any chopping plus these bagged mixes are often cheaper than purchasing fresh peppers.
Usually I use a blend of different colors of bell peppers. If you prefer you can use all green bell pepper, all red bell pepper, orange bell peppers or any of the other colors of sweet peppers that may be available in your local grocery store.
