Starbucks actually has several versions of this drink and many have been discontinued. This includes Iced Guava White Tea, Iced Guava White Tea Lemonade and Iced Guava Black Tea Lemonade. At the time that I am posting this even the Iced Guava Black Tea is no longer listed on their website.

They do still carry Iced Black Tea Lemonade, Iced Peach Green Tea and Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade. But those drinks are also very easy to create copycat versions at home. Seriously easy to make. You’ll be amazed at how little it costs to make them. Refreshing iced tea drink to enjoy on a hot day at a fraction of the cost of a store bought drink? Yes please!

Iced Guava Black Tea Starbucks Recipe

All of these Starbucks iced tea drinks are pretty similar to each other. They contain an iced tea (using black tea bags or your favorite white tea) blended with various fruit juices with or without lemonade.

Creating your own copycat version at home is pretty easy to do. You can easily customize the drinks to come up with your own favorite blend. Here’s what you’ll need to make this drink.

Ingredients to make Copycat Starbucks Iced Guava Black Tea:

Starbucks has had several variations of this drink. They are all fairly similar to each other and just used different types of teas. See the FAQ section for some additional information on swaps that you can make to create some of these other drinks.

Here’s what you need for this drink:

  • Boiling Water – you’ll need hot, boiling water to make the tea
  • Black Tea Bags – there are lots of different types of black teas available in stores. Use your favorite brand from your local grocery store. You will want to make your tea stronger than you would make it because it will be diluted with guava juice.
  • Liquid Sweetener – I prefer to use a liquid sweetener to make this drink. This way you can customize the level of sweetness to suit your own personal tastes. You can use granulated sugar but I find that it does not dissolve as easily in the cold drink. I usually use Simple Syrup (a concentrated sugar solution). It’s easy to make and you can store it in the refrigerator until you need it.

Swap this out with other liquid sweeteners such as agave, honey or liquid cane sugar. These can be found in many grocery stores in the sugar section under brands such as Torani Sugar Sweetener Syrup or Sugar In The Raw Liquid Turbinado Cane Sugar. (these are Amazon links)

  • Lemon Juice – you’ll need a squeeze of lemon for this drink. Use a fresh lemon or go with a bottled lemon concentrate.
  • Guava Juice or Guava Nectar – You can use guava juice, guava nectar or even fresh guava juice if it’s available in your local stores. I find the guava nectar has a stronger fruit flavor than the fruit juice. I can find Goya brand guava nectar in all my local stores. Usually it’s in the international section or where ever the store has ingredients to make tacos. No matter which one you use you’ll love the tropical fruit flavor mixed with tea.

I would avoid using a guava juice blend. Often this is a mixture of guava with other fruit juices. These types of blends have a very mild guava flavor. They still taste great when mixed with tea but if you’re looking for a guava flavored drink stick with the nectar or juice.

  • Ice Cubes – you’ll want to top your drink off with ice cubes to make it cold and refreshing.

With a couple of quick ingredient swaps you can make some other versions of Starbucks Iced Teas. Try some of these easy to make Starbucks copycat recipes:

Starbucks Iced Guava Black Tea Lemonade – swap out half of the guava juice or guava nectar with your favorite lemonade. You can use store bought regular lemonade or your own fresh lemonade. If your lemonade is very sweet you may want to add your liquid sweetener at the end so you can sweeten this one to taste.

Iced Black Tea Lemonade – this drink is made the same as the others above except this time swap out all the guava juice for lemonade.

Like white tea rather than black tea drinks? This is such as easy recipe to make and you can swap black tea for white tea or even green tea to make delicious iced green tea drinks.

Iced Guava White Tea – you won’t find white tea drinks on the Starbucks menu these days. But you can easily whip up a copycat version at home. Swap out the black tea in this drink recipe for your favorite white tea bags. It’s as easy as that.
