Unstuffed Egg Roll In A Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 16 ounce bag of shredded coleslaw mix
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 3 Green Onions
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  • In a large skillet brown the ground pork over a medium heat. Make sure to break it up while cooking so it is in small crumbles.
  • Add the coleslaw mix to the pan and stir in. Turn the heat down to medium low and cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until the coleslaw has softened a bit.
  • Turn the heat down to medium low and add the remaining ingredients (soy sauce, fish sauce, toasted sesame oil, garlic and ginger). Stir well. Cook another 2 to 3 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Turn off heat and enjoy!
  • If desired, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  • Serve as is or serve over white rice, brown rice, chow mein noodles or cauliflower rice.

Notes

Optional: Sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the dish before serving. Add a bit of heat by adding a some crushed red pepper, adding a dash of sriracha sauce or even a small amount of garlic chili paste.
