Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day. Most people think of high carb foods such as cereal, toast, bagels, pancakes, waffles and muffins as breakfast foods. When you’re on the keto diet people think that the only option for breakfast is eggs.

I’m here to tell you that there are lots of other foods that you can eat for breakfast on the keto diet without eating a plate of eggs. Here’s some deliciously easy ideas you’re going to love!

There’s a variety of foods that you can eat instead of scrambled eggs, fried eggs, sunny side up eggs, omelets, hard boiled eggs….. you get the point.

Keto breakfast ideas can include:

  • Chia puddings made with chia seeds, N’oatmeal or keto granola
  • Shakes, keto smoothies or smoothie bowl and even butter coffee
  • Breakfast types meats including bacon, hash and sausage
  • Homemade or store bought keto cereal. There are more and more brands coming out with cereal these days.
  • Low carb vegetable based hash browns
  • Fat bombs which are often bit sized treats made with a variety of ingredients such as almond butter, coconut flakes, coconut oil and other hat fat ingredients to provide you with the energy you need. They make a quick grab and portable breakfast treat.

There’s also a wide variety of recipes that include eggs as some kind of binder but you don’t feel like it’s another breakfast of eggs. This includes foods such as keto pancakes, chaffles and even muffins. These recipes use almond flour as one of the main ingredients in place of high carb white flour. These low-carb breakfast recipes make great keto breakfast options.
