Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet or large serving tray or platter
  • 4 Piping Bag
  • 1 Cake Decorating Tip #1A, #4, #352
  • 1 Offset Spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 can Ready Made Frosting white or orange
  • 1 Gel Food Coloring orange
  • 1 tube Ready Made Frosting green and brown
  • 1 package Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • 1 package Oreo Cookies
  • 1 package Golden Oreo Cookies
  • 1 package Oatmeal Cookies
  • 1 package Gingerbread Cookies
  • 1 package Thin Mint Cookies
  • 1 package Pumpkin Candies
  • 1 package M&M's fall colored
  • 1 package Marshmallows

Instructions

  • Start by coloring your frosting. Place your frosting into a bowl. Add the orange food coloring, a few drops at a time, mixing after each addition with a hand mixer, until the frosting is orange like a pumpkin.
  • Place the cake decorating tip with a large round hole in the piping bag. Scoop the orange frosting into a piping bag. Using the frosting, create the outline of a pumpkin in the center of your serving board or charcuterie board.
  • Fill in the pumpkin outline with more frosting. You’ll want to save some of the orange frosting to give the pumpkin more definition. Use the offset spatula to spread the frosting evenly and smooth it out.
  • Using the last of the orange frosting to outline the pumpkin and to add two lines in the middle to help define the pumpkin shape. Use the offset spatula to gently flatten the frosting.
  • Using a #4 tip and the brown frosting pipe out the outline of the stem and fill it in. Smooth out the frosting.
  • Using the #4 tip and green frosting, pipe out several vine shapes on the pumpkin. Using the #352 tip and the green frosting, pipe out several leaves near the stem or on the vine.
  • Fill in the space around the frosting with your dippers.  Fill in the white spaces with small candies such as fall colored M&M’s, pumpkin candies and shaped chocolates.
