  • 6 Avocados
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • Start by picking fresh avocados that are ripe. Wash the whole avocados and dry them off.
  • To freeze whole avocados: Wrap each whole avocado tightly in plastic wrap. Place in a freezer bag that has been labeled with the date and freeze.
  • To freeze avocado halves: Slice the avocados in half. Gently twist the two halves and pull apart. Remove the avocado seed. Brush the cut part of the avocado with lemon juice. Wrap each half in tightly in plastic wrap. Place in a freezer bag that has been labeled with the date and freeze.
  • To freeze avocado chunks or slices: Slice the avocados in half. Gently twist the two halves and pull apart. Remove the avocado seed. Using a knife, carefully score the avocado and use a spoon to scoop the cut pieces out of the peel/skin. Toss chunks in lemon juice. Place on a baking sheet and flash freeze before placing in a freezer bag.
  • To freeze mashed avocado: Slice the avocados in half. Gently twist the two halves and pull apart. Remove the avocado seed. Using a knife, carefully score the avocado and use a spoon to scoop out the chunks. Place in a bowl, add lemon juice and mash. Place mashed avocados in freezer bags or airtight containers and freeze.
