Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter salted, cold, cut into slices
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer according to the manufacturers directions.
  • In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Place the cold butter slices into the flour mixture. Using your hands, fork or a pastry cutter, work the cold butter into the biscuits. It will resemble crumbly dough and you will see bits of butter spread throughout.
  • Add the milk and butter milk to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined. You don’t want to overwork the dough.
  • Sprinkle some flour on to a dry surface. Turn the dough out of the bowl onto the floured surface. Pat the dough out into a circle.
  • Using a biscuit cutter or a glass cut the biscuits out of the dough. Roll the scraps of dough together and continue to cut out biscuits.
  • Place the biscuits in the air fryer basket leaving some space between them and brush the melted butter on the biscuits.
  • Cook in the air fryer at 390 degrees for 9 minutes.

Notes

Looking to make herb biscuits? Try adding finely chopped fresh herbs into the melted butter that you brush over the top of your biscuits for a delicious flavor.
