Add all the ingredients to a large bowl. Using a fork mash the other ingredients into the softened butter.
To form it into a log spoon the butter into the center of a piece of plastic wrap in the shape of a log. Wrap the plastic wrap around the butter and then gently roll to make the log shape even.
Refrigerate the butter log for at least an hour to allow it to firm up. You can also place it in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.
