Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bacon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400F. Make sure that one of your oven racks in placed right in the middle of the oven.
  • Line a high rimmed baking sheet with foil. If making more than one pound of bacon use at least two baking sheets. If using a rack then place it on the baking sheet. Place bacon on the rack in a single later. If you are not using a rack then place the bacon directly on the foil in a single layer.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes for thin to medium thick bacon slices and 20 to 25 minutes for thick bacon slices.
  • Check after 15 minutes to see if they are cooked to your level of crispness. If not, then cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven once they are even crisp. Place in a single later on paper towels for the excess fat to be absorbed.
