These policies may be updated from time to time without notice. If you have any questions or comments please contact me here: remakemyplate (AT) gmail.com
The content of Remake My Plate is for informational and educational purposes only. Any information presented at this site is not intended to diagnose, prevent, treat or cure any disease or medical conditions. Before you make any dietary changes please consult your own physician. I’m not a doctor nor do I pretend to be one in real life. Any possible health benefits that are stated to be obtained by a particular food, herb or supplement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Association and is not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any disease. You get the idea. I don’t know you or any of the health issues you might have. If you make any dietary changes based on what I’ve written here (my own thoughts and experiences) and have a problem please don’t blame me. You should have checked with your own doctor to see if the changes were right for you.
All of the posts at this blog, unless noted to be a guest posts, are my original works. I own the copyright to each one of them. I welcome references and links to my blog but ask that my copyright be respected. Please don’t copy an entire post to use on your site. You may post a small excerpt as long as a link back to the original post is included. Same thing for any pictures that I’ve taken and posted on the site. They aren’t very good so I have no idea why you would want to use them. Really. I’m not a professional photographer. I think that’s pretty easy to establish by my high quality photos (LOL). If you do please include a link back to the post it where it was originally found.
If you have an article that fits my blog topic and would like to guest post please email me at remakemyplate (AT) gmail.com so I can check it out. I can’t compensate you for the post but can include links back to your own blog or website. Google doesn’t like to see multiple posts on different sites (it is considered some type of spam) so the post would have to be something new.
Topics that would work include health information and recipes that fall within the low carb or paleo type diets. Also your own personal story about changing your health through diet, living with diabetes, freezer or crockpot meals, cooking health meals from scratch, packing healthy lunches for you or your kids, how better nutrition helped you lose weight, your own weight loss surgery story/tips/info and anything zombie related. Well, just kidding about that last one.
Blog Comment Policies
Please feel free to comment on blog posts. The purpose of comments is to encourage community and exchange information/ideas between posters. Disagreement is welcome but nastiness is not. I have no problem with comments that may disagree with me or other commenters. I will reject or delete comments that are nasty, rude, obscene, threatening, harassing, abusive or disrespectful even if it is aimed at another commenter. The world is a harsh enough place without it being carried over to a blog where people are able to hide behind an anonymous posting to verbally attack someone. If you want that kind of thing do it on your own blog.
Spam is not tolerated. All spam comments, including those that are thinly veiled ads for your product or website, will be rejected and deleted. If you want to drive business to your website buy some advertising. If you happen to be selling something related to the blog topic and your comment/link encourages conversation or points a reader toward something that is helpful that is a bit different. I think we are all smart enough to tell the difference between the two. If you comment only to spam then expect your post to be deleted and your IP address blocked. Even though my blog is quite new spammers have already found their way here. Honestly, one more spamtastic ad for muscle building products, incredible low fat diets and whatever great new supplement you are currently offering and I’m going to scream.
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (sometimes called, “Blogger Guidelines”), here are my disclosure policies.
* If a product or service I have blogged about was given to me or if I was able to purchase it at a discount I will disclose this in the post
* Receiving a free or discounted product does NOT mean it will automatically receive a good review. If I don’t like something I will say so.
* If your interested in having me review a product and it’s relevant to the blog topic please contact me at remakemyplate (AT) gmail.com
I don’t collect, sell or trade email addresses or other information. It’s as simple as that. Really, I’ve got enough stuff going on in my life. Keeping track of your name and email address is not something I’m interested in doing.
