Buttery Buffalo Hot Wings

I’m usually not a big fan of super spicy stuff. If the food is so hot that my nose starts runningthen I’m not interested in eating it. This buffalo sauce is different. The spicy kick is still there but the butter tames the heat and the cinnamon gives it an interesting twist.

Buttery Buffalo Hot Wings

3 to 4 lbs of chicken wings prepared your favorite way (we preferred grilled)

1 stick butter

1/3 cup hot pepper sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons chili sauce (or ketchup)

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon balasmic vinegar

3/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a saucepan combine ingredients except for cooked chicken wings. Cook over and medium heat stirring occasionally. Heat for 10 minutes or until the butter is melted. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken wings and serve with lots of napkins.

TIPS: this sauce is great over just about any type of chicken….grilled boneless breasts, thighs, etc. You don’t only have to pour it over wings.
